 WANO Nuclear Excellence Awards recognise six of the best

The glittering surroundings of the Hungarian State Opera House were the setting for tonight’s award ceremony at which WANO acknowledged six nuclear professionals who are widely recognised by their peers and colleagues for their exceptional contribution to excellence in the nuclear industry.

The award recipients are:

·       Armen Abagyan of OAO VNIIAES and Concern Rosenergoatom

·       An-Hong Jeng of Taiwan Power Company

·       Vladimir Korovkin of Rovno Nuclear Power Plant, Energoatom

·       Keith Moser of Exelon Corporation

·       Peter Prozesky of British Energy

·       Alfred C Tollison, Jr of the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations

The WANO Nuclear Excellence Awards were established in 2003 to recognise individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to excellence in the operation of nuclear power plants, or the infrastructure that supports the nuclear power enterprise, or through WANO.

Potential recipients undergo a rigorous nomination and selection process before being approved. The awards are presented biennially during each WANO BGM.
